Design Process and Price Guide
​
I offer a free Tele Consult if required, to ascertain your needs and to go through expectations and the design process.
- Initial Consult ONSITE - $300
​
Up to 2 hours onsite.
This is where we establish your needs as a client and what you are wanting to attain within your space or spaces.
​
All aspects are covered ; such as existing furniture, if any, that is to be incorporated into the new scheme, who uses the space, what does and doesn't work and any colour or style preferences that need to be included.
​
I’ll ascertain your taste, your lifestyle and how you intend to use the space, plus your budget with a quick questionnaire that you can fill in at your leisure and email back.
​
We will cover your individual project and a Letter of Agreement, that is essential prior to work commencing.
If there is more than one decision-making person in the household, one will be assigned as the main contact for the project and will have authority to make decisions and sign off on work orders on behalf of both parties if necessary.
This is also where you have a chance to address any queries regarding your project or my involvement .
-Package Pricing- I charge depending on the size and scope of work. A price guide is available to be sent out for those that get in touch.

This is one of the most economical options and would be quoted before commencement of any works.
This would include 2-3 Mood boards per space and an extensive shopping list with options to purchase certain items directly.
Alternatively, you can choose to get an approximate quote for predicted hours to be spent on your project and pay in instalments as the project progresses. This is charged per hour and invoices will be sent every couple of weeks to cover time spent on all aspects covered below under Hourly Rate.
-Project Home - Another service which is becoming increasingly popular, is to help clients building a Project Home.

This usually requires a large amount of decision making regarding finishes in one sitting and is quite overwhelming to say the least. I can take the stress out of this for you and either take over all decisions for the project or simply guide your decisions to ensure they are cohesive and most complimentary to your taste and lifestyle.
This usually involves accompanying the client to any relevant meetings with the builder.
Usually an hourly fee is charged for this, with travel time additional , unless a package price has been agreed upon beforehand.

Shortly after our initial consultation, you will be asked to complete a questionnaire. This is purely to give me the best idea of what you are after with regards to your project. The process is meant to be streamlined and collaborative. Please let me know if at any time you have concerns, questions or simply would like to give additional feedback.
You will then receive a summation of your project, which will outline in detail the scope of work needed, either an estimation of hours based on similar projects or details of any package that might be suitable.
Along with signing the Letter of Agreement, you will be required to pay a 50% deposit with the balance being due close to project completion.
You will then be required to created a login and password that is exclusively yours to use and all communication should take place on the on line platform Design Files. This makes it easy for both of us to access notes and information at any time.
I typically work through business hours, Monday to Friday, sending you updated design boards or items for you to review during these times.

Interior Concept -
Once we have confirmed the Floor Plan if necessary, the next step is to create the Interior Concept. For those renovating, I will develop a colour scheme complete with any necessary finishes for flooring, benches, walls and window treatments. This is usually where a lighting plan is developed if applicable, with any drawings and elevations if requested. This is outsourced to a third party.
Creating the Concept is a vital, time-consuming process and requires several weeks, depending on the scope of the project. This will include 2-3 boards per space to give you several options to choose from.This also applies to those projects that are simply aesthetic and involve additions such as decorator items, art, cushions, rugs, paint colour/wallpaper , window treatments and furniture
